Description: Province-supported, university, coed. Awards bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and first professional degrees. Founded 1957. Setting: 900-acre suburban campus with easy access to Toronto. Total enrollment: 24,894. Faculty: 1,436 (787 full-time, 649 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 16:1. 39,360 applied, 52% were admitted. 100% from top half of their high school class. Full-time: 20,046 students, 46% women, 54% men. Part-time: 2,194 students, 66% women, 34% men. Students come from 12 provinces and territories, 103 other countries, 29% live on campus. Academic areas with the most degrees conferred: engineering/engineering technologies; social sciences and history; computer/information sciences. Calendar: trimesters.
