performance indicators
performance indicators (PIs) (per-for-mănss) pl. n. statistical information, based on quantitative measures of the resources and activities of the NHS, produced by health authorities and sent to the Department of Health. This enables comparisons of performance of one section with that achieved by another to be analysed and published.
