formoterol (eformoterol) (for-moh-ter-ol) n. a sympathomimetic drug used as a long-acting bronchodilator to control chronic asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Formoterol is formulated in powder or aerosol form for administration by inhaler. Trade names: Atimos Modulite, Foradil, Oxis Turbohaler.
