Romani, Felice (b Genoa, 1788; d Moneglia, 1865). It. poet and librettist. Wrote over 100 opera libs. for Mayr, Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, etc. Among best-known are those of Il Turco in Italia (1814), Norma (1831), La sonnambula (1831), L'Elisir d'amore (1832), and Lucrezia Borgia (1833).
