Purpose: To encourage study in naval architecture, marine engineering, ocean engineering or marine industry-related fields. Focus: Architecture, Naval; Marine engineering; Ocean engineering. Qualif.: Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens who are actively involved with SNAME and other professional organizations. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the scholarship committee's recommendations and the executive committee's approval.
Funds Avail.: $6,000. To Apply: Applicants must complete the application form; Applicants must provide an evidence of sound academic achievement; a 500-600 word application essay; three letters of professional recommendations in which the two must be NA/ME/OE faculty who have had the student in class and at least two of whom are SNAME members.
