Canadian golfer. Born on June 4, 1948, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Born in Oakville, Ontario, in 1948, Canadian golfer Sandra Post took up the game at the age of five, and won the Canadian Junior championship three times. She came to the United States in 1968, and that year took the golf world by storm in her first professional outing, beating the great Kathy Whitworth in an 18-hole playoff for the LPGA championship. Post was just 19 at the time, and the win was the high point of her career. Plagued by back problems, she did not win another tournament until the Colgate Far East Open in 1974. She won the Colgate-Dinah Shore Open in 1978 and again in 1979, when she was also voted Canada's Outstanding Athlete.
