Moved with Surrealist artist Hans Bellmer to Paris (1953); mixed poetry with Surrealist illustration in Hexentexte (1954); suffered from mental illness and committed suicide; other works include Dunkler Frühling (1970) and Der Mann in Jasmin (1977).
