Chinese diver. Born Feb 9, 1971, in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China; attended Hainan University.
At Seoul Olympics, won a gold medal in platform (1988); placed 1st in platform at Asian Games (1990) and 1st at FINA World Cup (1987); became an international diving referee. Inducted into International Swimming Hall of Fame (2000).
