Made NY debut as Alice Adams in The Nest Egg (1910); other stage credits include Our Town, Family Portrait, Candle in the Wind, Dream Girl, Present Laughter, Hilda Crane, and The Bad Seed; had great success in London in Roar Like a Dove; films include Cheaper by the Dozen, Pinky, Stella, Hilda Crane and The Bad Seed.
