England's 1st champion female jockey, became the 1st woman to ride a winner in England under the Rules of Racing, when she won the Goya Stakes on Scorched Earth (May 6, 1972); rode 2 more winners (1972), at Folkestone (on Scorched Earth) and Newbury (on Hard Slipper); became an owner. Named MBE.
