Thesmar, Ghislaine (1943–)
French ballet dancer. Born Mar 18, 1943, in Beijing, China; m. Pierre Lacotte (choreographer and dancer).
Trained at studios of Solange Schwarz, Peggy Van Praagh, and Marie Rambert; danced with International Ballet du Marquis de Cuevas; began appearing with Les Ballets de Pierre Lacotte (1961), dancing in numerous works by husband, including Hôtel des Etrangers (1962), Intermèdes (1965), and La Proie (1967); appeared on tv in Lacotte revivals of classical works, most notably La Sylphide (1972); danced in many premieres, including Nicholas Zverev's Sérénade with Marquis de Cuevas (1962), and at Paris Opéra in Petit's Formes (1967), MacDonald's Variations Diabelli (1974), and Balanchine's Chaconne and Orpheus (1975).
