American Alpine skier. Born and raised in Oregon; attended Oregon State University and Brigham Young University.
Won a silver medal for giant slalom and a bronze medal for slalom at Innsbruck Olympics (1964); won all 4 US National titles (slalom, giant slalom, downhill and combined, 1964); taught elementary school for 32 years. Inducted into National Ski Hall of Fame.
