Succeeded Fanny Brice in Ziegfeld Follies; other credits include The World of Sholom Aleichem, Dear Me, the Sky is Falling and The Last Analysis; best remembered for portrayal of Mrs. (Pansy) Nussbaum on radio's "Fred Allen Show" in the segment know as "Allen's Alley," where she frequently referred to "mine husband, Pierre" (1945–49).
