Born Margarita Camacho Baquedano, Mar 30, 1922, in San Felipe Torresmochas, Guanajuato, Mexico; died May 22, 1980, in Mexico City, Mexico; studied journalism at Universidad Obrera of Mexico and literature at the Independent National University of Mexico.
