South Korean golfer. Born Mar 6, 1979, in Seoul, Korea; grew up in Arizona; attended Arizona State University.
Came to US at age 12; was the 1st player since Patty Berg in 1983 to sweep all major amateur championships, winning the Trans-Am, Western, and US Women's Amateur (1998); won Kathy Ireland Greens.com LPGA Classic (2000), Office Depot (2001), and CISCO World Match Play championship (2002).
