Second wife of Millard Fillmore . Name variations: Caroline Fillmore. Born Caroline Carmichael on October 21, 1813, in Morristown, New Jersey; died on August 11, 1881, in Buffalo, New York; daughter of Charles Carmichael (a New Jersey merchant) and Temperance (Blachley) Carmichael; married Ezekiel C. McIntosh (one of the builders of the Mohawk and Hudson Railroad); married Milliard Fillmore (former U.S. president), on February 10, 1858, in Albany, New York; no children.

Little is known about Caroline McIntosh. She attended a finishing school in New York and married Ezekiel C. McIntosh in Morristown, New Jersey. His date of death is unknown. In 1858, after a brief courtship, she married former president Millard Fillmore. A prenuptial agreement allowed Fillmore complete control, with no accountability, over her fortune from her first husband. It further stated that upon her death, he would receive her entire estate, while if he died first, she would receive only a third of his money. Millard Fillmore died first, in 1874. After his death, Caroline became senile, died seven years later, and was buried in Buffalo next to Fillmore, his first wife Abigail Powers Fillmore , and his daughter from that earlier marriage, Mary Abigail Fillmore .
