Marmein, Miriam (1897–1970)

American concert dancer. Born July28, 1897, probably in or around Chicago, IL; died Aug 17, 1970, in Schenectady, NY; dau. of Anna Egleton; sister of Irene and Phyllis Marmein (dancers).

Began appearing on Keith circuit as a class act with sisters (1915); choreographed numerous trio acts with sisters, then went on to create own works for another 20 years, including With a Terpsichorean Bow to Mrs. Erskine (1931) and Chef d'Orchestre (1936); taught with sisters at family studio in Schenectady, NY.
