Served as political liaison with the Green Group in the European Parliament (1989–92), chair of Green Party Executive (1993–94), and its principal speaker (1998–99); representing Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance, elected to 5th European Parliament (1999–2004) from UK. Wrote No Change? No Chance! (1996).
