American actress. Born Oct 10, 1909; died May 27, 1988, in Laguna Niguel, California; dau. of Theodore Friebus.
On Broadway, appeared in Triple Crossed, The Ivory Door and The Lady from the Sea; also appeared with Eva Le Gallienne's Civic Rep in Pride and Prejudice and The Primrose Path; probably best remembered as Mrs. Gillis on the tv series, "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis."
