Made Broadway debut as a chorine and subsequently appeared in many George M. Cohan productions, as well as The Crooked Square, Cheaper to Marry and No No Nanette, among others; made film debut in The Man Who Lost But Won (1914), followed by over 90 more films, including Footlight Parade, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Affairs of Annabel, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, My Little Chickadee, This is the Army, The Bells of St. Mary's, The Snake Pit, The Spoilers and Little Miss Broadway.
