French actress and princess. Name variations: Princess of Venice. Born April 3, 1969, in Levallois-Perret, Hautsde-Seine, France; dau. of Jean Claude Courau and Catherine de Pontavice des Renardières; sister of Christiane, Camille, and Capucine Courau; m. Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, prince of Venice, Sept 25, 2003, grandson of the last king of Italy and 2nd in line to Italy's throne if the monarchy had not been abolished in 1946.

Named one of European films "Shooting Stars," made film debut in Le Petit criminel (1990); other films include Map of the Human Heart (1993), Élisa (1995), Les Grands ducs (1996), Fred (1997), Marthe (1997), Le Poulpe (1998), Deterrence (1999), En Face (2000) and Mon idole (2002).
