At US nationals, placed 1st for slalom (1977), slalom, giant slalom, and overall (1980), and giant slalom (1984); at World championships, won silver medal for giant slalom and slalom and a bronze for combined (1982); placed 2nd in slalom at the World Cup (1981) and 2nd in slalom and giant slalom and 3rd overall (1982); won Olympic silver medal in giant slalom at Sarajevo Olympics (1984); reported for CBS-TV during Nagano games.
