Australian prime-ministerial wife. Born Ethel Dunlop Anderson, May 25, 1879, in Melbourne, Australia; died Mar 1967 in London, England; m. Stanley Melbourne Bruce (prime minister of Australia, 1923–29), July 12, 1913; children: none.

As the 1st ministerial wife to reside in The Lodge when the seat of government moved from Melbourne to Canberra, had to hire staff and establish a household (1927).
