French aviator. Born Nov 25, 1895 in Arcueil, France; died 1975.
Pioneer aviator, was a test pilot for Caudron, the French aircraft maker; became the 1st woman to fly over the Andes in Argentina (1921), having to avoid mountain peaks that were higher than her plane could fly.
