scrub vegetation

scrub vegetation

scrub vegetation A general term for vegetation dominated by shrubs, i.e. low, woody plants, which typically forms an intermediate community between grass or heath and high forest. Successional change is not necessarily implied, though the term is often used for the transitional stage in a succession to climax woodland when shrubby plants predominate.
