Zebulun
Zebulun ♂ Biblical name, borne by the sixth son of Leah and Jacob. The name may mean ‘exaltation’, although Leah derives it from another meaning of the Hebrew root zabal, namely ‘to dwell’: ‘now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons’ (Genesis 30:20). It appears in the New Testament (Matthew 4:13) in the form Zabulon.
Variant: Zebulon. |
