Nicodemus

Nicodemus , in the Gospel of St. John, member of the Sanhedrin sympathetic to Jesus. He helped Joseph of Arimathea to bury him. Among the New Testament Apocrypha is a Gospel of Nicodemus.

Nicodemus. The learned Jew who visited Jesus by night and evoked the discourse on Christian rebirth narrated in Jn. 3: 1–15. He is later shown helping Joseph of Arimathaea give Him burial (Jn. 19: 39).
