Weberian ossicles
Weberian ossicles (Weberian apparatus) Structures found in bony fish belonging to the orders Cypriniformes and Siluriformes, and derived from the first four vertebrae. They form a link between the inner-ear region and the swimbladder, facilitating sound reception. See also OSTARIOPHYSI.
