Vombatoidea (infraclass Metatheria, order Marsupialia (or Diprotodontia)) A superfamily of medium to large, heavily built, quadrupedal marsupials which have the typical enlarged incisors in upper as well as lower jaws. There are three families: Vombatidae; Phascolarctidae; and the extinct Diprotodontidae.
