Phyllanthus
Phyllanthus (family Euphorbiaceae) A genus of herbs, shrubs, or mostly small trees, in which the leaves are often in 2 ranks, and the shoots resemble pinnate leaves. The flowers are minute, and held in dense clusters. The fruit is dry and dehiscent or fleshy and indehiscent. Some species have green phylloclades bearing flowers on their margins. There are about 600 species, with a pantropical distribution.
