Morganucodon
Morganucodon A small, mouse-sized mammal (sometimes considered identical to Eozostrodon), from the Late Triassic to Early Jurassic of Europe and Asia, that is known from complete skeletons. It is the earliest known mammal, transitional from the mammal-like reptiles, with such features as a double jaw articulation (both the primitive reptilian quadrate–articular joint and the advanced mammalian squamosal–dentary joint).
