Milichiidae
Milichiidae (order Diptera, suborder Cyclorrapha) Small family of flies, in which the adults are very small to small, and greyish-black or shining black. The larvae are basically scavengers in the nests of ants and birds, but a few species have larvae which feed on fungi. The family is distributed throughout the world. 250 species have been described.
