Melampsora
Melampsora (class Urediniomycetes) A genus of rust fungi, in which the teliospores are sessile and unicellular, often forming a crust-like layer beneath the epidermis of the host plant. The aecia are not cup-shaped but are diffuse. M. lini causes rust disease in flax (Linum usitatissimum).
