Loch Lomond Stadial
Loch Lomond Stadial A relatively cold period, equivalent to the Younger Dryas stadial (see stade), that occurred towards the end of the last (Devensian) glaciation in Scotland. The event took place about 11 000–10 000 radiocarbon years bp. It is characterized by the development of small ice caps and cirque glaciers in the Highlands.
