Elopidae
Elopidae (giant herring, ladyfish; superorder Elopomorpha, order Elopiformes) A family of marine to estuarine fish that have a very slender, silvery body, a single dorsal fin, small pectoral and pelvic fins, and a large, forked tail fin. Small schools of Elops saurus (ladyfish), 90 cm, often enter estuaries from the western Atlantic. Different species may exist in the Indo-Pacific region.
