Bagridae (bagrid catfish; subclass Actinopterygii, order Siluriformes) A large family of freshwater catfish that have a large, adipose dorsal fin, small eyes, and four pairs of barbels around the mouth. The family is distributed widely in tropical Africa and Asia.
