Aextoxicaceae
Aextoxicaceae A monotypic family (Aextoxicon punctatum), which is a large tree of the warm temperate rain forests of Chile. The leaves are (sub) opposite, and lepidote. Flowers are borne in axillary racemes and are unisexual and pentamerous. The fruit is a drupe. Probably it is related to the Monimiaceae; formerly it was placed incorrectly in the Euphorbiaceae.
