SEBBA, SHALOM (1897– 1975), Israel painter and designer. Born in Germany, he settled in Palestine in 1936. The strong influence of the theater world is seen in the simplicity of his designs and in his choice of materials. He designed for theaters in Germany, in Stockholm, and in Israel for the Habimah Theater.
