KEMELMAN, HARRY
KEMELMAN, HARRY (1908–1996), U.S. author. Kemelman wrote entertaining novels of detective fiction in which the hero is a rabbi-sleuth, David Small. They include Friday the Rabbi Slept Late (1964), Saturday the Rabbi Went Hungry (1966), and Sunday the Rabbi Stayed Home (1969). He also published The Nine Mile Walk (1967), a collection of stories originally published in Ellery Queen's Magazine.
