GRAEBER, SCHEALTIEL EISIK
GRAEBER, SCHEALTIEL EISIK (1856–?), Hebrew writer and publisher. Born in Galicia, he became involved in the Haskalah movement at an early age. He wrote for various Hebrew journals, but his major contribution in Hebrew letters was as a publisher. He published the periodical Ha-Ohev Ammo ve-Ereẓ Moladeto (1881), the annual Beit Oẓar ha-Sifrut (from 1887), and the works of Italian Jewish scholars, such as S.D. Luzzatto (Iggerot Shadal, 1882–94) and M.I. Tedeschi.
