Tattvārtha Sūtra
Tattvārtha Sūtra or Tattvārthadhigamasūtra. Jain text revered by both Śvetāmbaras and Digambaras. It is attributed to Umāsvāmi (also Umāsvāti, c.2nd cent. CE?), and consists of ten chs. of 357 sutras, expounding the seven tattvas (principles). It is said that ‘there is no Jaina doctrine or dogma which is not expressed or implied in these aphorisms’ ( K. B. Jindal), and it is recited daily in many temples.
