Kañcuka (‘armour’). In Kashmir Śaivism, the five ways in which māyā covers over pure consciousness (śuddha saṃvid). The five are: kalā, limitation of efficacy; vidyā, limited knowledge; rāga, passion; kāla, time; and niyati, fixed order or limitation relating to space and cause.
