Bairāgī
Bairāgī. An order of Hindu yogis, derived from Bhatrahāri, a ruler who was persuaded by Gorakhnāth to give up his throne and become a disciple. The term is more often encountered in the Sikh reinterpretation, in which the bairags are those who devote themselves to God while remaining with their families.
