Menzel Bourguiba

Menzel Bourguiba (mĕnzĕl´ bərgē´bə) or Manzil Abu Ruqaybah (mănzĬl´ äbōō´ rōō´kībä´), formerly Ferryville, town (1994 pop. 47,521), N Tunisia, on Lake Bizerte. It was founded as a naval installation during the period of French rule. After Tunisia became independent (1956), it was renamed in honor of Habib Bourguiba, Tunisia's leader.
