Lenard, Philipp Eduard Anton

Lenard, Philipp Eduard Anton (1862–1947) German physicist, b. Hungary. Lenard received the 1905 Nobel Prize in physics for his studies of cathode rays. His work was important in the development of electronics and nuclear physics. He researched ultraviolet radiation and phosphorescence.
