Drachmann, Holger Henrik Herholdt
Holger Henrik Herholdt Drachmann (hŏl´gər hănrēk´ hăr´hŏlt dräkh´män), 1846–1908, Danish poet and dramatist. His early work was influenced by the political realism of Georg Brandes, but his later writing was sometimes romantic and lyrical. Besides poetry, he wrote brilliant articles on art and politics, romantic novels, and several popular operettas and plays.
