Coamo
Coamo (kwä´mō), town and municipality (1990 pop. 33,837), S central Puerto Rico, on the Coamo River. It is the trade center of a sugar and tobacco region. Manufactures include aircraft equipment, machines, and clothing. The town was founded in the 16th cent.
