brin·dle / ˈbrindl/ • n. a brownish or tawny color of animal fur, with streaks of other color. ∎  an animal with such a coat. • adj. (also brin·dled) (esp. of domestic animals) brownish or tawny with streaks of other color: a brindle pup.
