Egyptian art
Egyptian art (2686–2181 bc) Works were chiefly relief sculpture and painting, characterized by front and side views of the human figure, flat colour tones, symmetry in sculpture, and static figures. Relief-decorated private tombs and temples portrayed the daily life of subjects. With the decline of Egyptian power, Greek and Roman forms supplanted national art.
