BUREAU DU CONSEIL PRIVÉ

The Privy Council Office:

• provides advice and support to the Prime Minister on his full range of responsibilities as head of government, and on the overall effective conduct of government. The subject of advice ranges from management of the federation, security and intelligence matters, organization of government to senior appointment issues
• provides advice to the Ministry as a whole, as well as policy and secretariat support to Cabinet and Cabinet committees in their decision-making process
• is responsible for the quality of expert, professional and non-partisan advice and service by the Public Service to the Prime Minister and the Ministry (the Clerk of the Privy Council is Head of the Public Service).

Le Bureau du Conseil privé:

• fournit des conseils et de soutien au Premier ministre en ce qui concerne ses responsabilités comme chef du gouvernement, et en ce qui concerne la conduite efficace du gouvernement. Ces conseils varient entre la gestion de la fédération, les services de sécurité et de renseignements sur l'étranger, l'organisation du gouvernement et la nomination des hauts fonctionnaires
• fournit des conseils au Ministère tout entier et fournit les services de secrétariat et de soutien nécessaires au travail du Cabinet et des comités du Cabinet dans le cadre du processus décisionnel
• est responsable de la qualité des conseils et des services autorisés, professionnels et non-partisans de la Fonction publique au Premier ministre et au Ministère (le Greffier du Conseil privé est chef de la Fonction publique).
